Shaun helps business owners and fiduciaries navigate thorny business disputes (actual or potential) involving Delaware corporations, alternative entities, and trusts.

Shaun’s practice centers on litigation in Delaware’s Court of Chancery and the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division (“CCLD”), including disputes related to business records, business divorce, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate control, trust disputes, complex contractual disputes, and fraud. Shaun has served as a Special Magistrate appointed in the Court of Chancery, as special litigation committee counsel, as subpoena counsel in complex matters, and he is Superior Court-certified mediator.

Outside litigation, Shaun advises business owners, companies, and fiduciaries in matters concerning Delaware corporate governance, alternative entities law, commercial law, and other investment-related concerns, especially where the potential for dispute exists.

Drawing on his experience as former Director of Consumer Protection for the Delaware Department of Justice, Shaun assists Connolly Gallagher’s Government Law group with a variety of matters.

Shaun earned his J.D. cum laude from University of Notre Dame Law School, where he served as Assistant Articles Editor and the International Liaison for the Notre Dame Journal of International and Comparative Law and B.A. in Political Science from Swarthmore College.  Shaun is the Achieving Excellence Chair of the Richard S. Rodney American Inn of Court, a former member of the Executive Committee of the St. Thomas More Society of Wilmington, and a past Secretary for the Board of Bar Examiners of the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware.
