Connolly Gallagher Employment Law Team Wins Favorable Judgment for Employer
On September 30, 2014, Matt Boyer and Mary Akhimien of Connolly Gallagher’s employment law team, along with co-counsel from the law firm of Lathrop & Gage LLP, won a judgment in favor of General Motors in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. The District Court issued a memorandum order granting GM’s motion to dismiss all claims, including alleged violations of employment discrimination laws, labor laws, tort law, and the terms of an employee insurance policy. The plaintiff sought back pay, restoration of benefits, and damages for pain and suffering, all of which were denied as to GM. For a copy of the Court’s memorandum order, see Anderson v. Local 435 Union, et al., 2014 WL 4955611 (D. Del. Sept. 30, 2014).
