Connolly Gallagher Partner, Timothy M. Holly to Serve Delaware House of Representatives on Delaware’s Adult Use Cannabis Task Force

Wilmington, DE (September 1, 2017) – Timothy M. Holly of Connolly Gallagher’s Employment Law Group and Chair of the Employer Advocacy and Education Committee of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, has been invited to serve by the Delaware House of Representatives on the “Adult Use Cannabis Task Force” (the “Task Force”).  On June 30, 2017, Delaware House of Representatives Concurrent Resolution No. 52 was released, creating the the “Task Force”.  The Resolution declares that “Delaware may pass legislation ending cannabis prohibition in the future.”  The Task Force is said to “bring[] stakeholders together to provide a forum for review and consideration of factual information to be considered in any recommendations or legislation concerning the regulation of adult use cannabis in Delaware.”

 

The Task Force consists of 23 categories of people (or their designee). Click here to read more. In his role, Mr. Holly will focus on representing the perspective of employers on the issue of adult use cannabis.  The first meeting of the Task Force will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.  Mr. Holly invites any Delaware employer to share with him thoughts about that issue, which he will seek to share with the Task Force.
