Matt Boyer and Jeff Wisler Speak at 2013 Delaware Bench and Bar Conference
Connolly Gallagher was well represented at the 2013 Bench and Bar Conference, which featured a presentation by esteemed author Scott Turow on “Legal Fictions: A Novelist’s Reflections about the Law’s Concept of Truth.” In the CLE portion of the program immediately preceding Mr. Turow’s talk, Matthew F. Boyer served as a panelist addressing numerous rules of professional conduct addressing a lawyer’s duty of candor in communications with tribunals, clients, witnesses, and the public.
As the Vice-Chair of the Board of Bar Examiners of the Delaware Supreme Court, Jeffrey Wisler spoke to members of the Bar who will be serving as preceptors to 2013 Delaware Bar applicants. Preceptorship is a valuable mentoring tradition that is unique to the Delaware Bar application process. Each preceptor is assigned to mentor a Bar applicant with respect to the high level of civility, legal ethics, and professionalism that is expected of all members of the Delaware Bar.
